Services: IHC Antibody Validation

IHC Test Levels Description of IHC Test Price USD

Level 1

1 antibody concentration, 1 type of tissue (e.g. liver or kidney, or cerebellum, or spinal cord, etc.) from 1 type of a rodent (e.g. mouse or rat). Controls: 1 “no-primary antibody” control.
Report includes: presence or absence of IHC signal and its general histological description (e.g. kidney tubules, dorsal or ventral portion of the spinal cord, etc.)
No conclusion is provided regarding the specificity of antibody. 1 low magnification overview is provided to the customer without any histological and cytological comments.
$218

Level 2

2 antibody concentrations, 2 types of tissue (customer’s suggestion) from 1 type of a rodent (either mouse or rat). Controls: “no-primary” + “no-primary+ no-secondary” antibody” controls.
Report includes: information about presence or absence of IHC signal, general histological description (e.g. kidney tubules, dorsal or ventral portion of the spinal cord, etc.), and a brief cytological evaluation of tissue labeling in comparison with controls.
No recommendations are given regarding the specificity of antibody. 2 low magnification overview JPEG images from different regions/tissues are provided to the customer with brief histological and cytological comments
$390

Level 3

3 antibody concentrations, 5 types of tissue (per customer suggestion) from both mouse and rat. Controls: “no-primary” and “no-primary+ no-secondary” antibody” controls.
Report includes: presence or absence of IHC signal, histological details (e.g. hippocampus, hypothalamus, glomerulli, etc.), cytological evaluation (e.g. pyramidal neurons, G-cells in gastric glands, hepatocytes, endothelial cells, etc.) intracellular localization of a labeling profile (e.g. plasma membrane, cytoplasm, perinuclear space, nuclei, basement membrane, intercalated disks, etc.).
Conclusions are provided regarding the IHC specificity of antibody, and 1 low overview + 1 high magnification images from the most histologically relevant region.

$690

Level 4

4 antibody concentrations, 15 types of tissues (per customer suggestion) from both mouse and rat. Controls: “no-primary” and “no-primary + no-secondary” antibody” controls, and absorption control (peptide immunogen is provided by the customer).
Report includes: presence or absence of IHC signal, histological details (e.g. hippocampus, hypothalamus, glomerulli, etc.), cytological evaluation (e.g. pyramidal neurons, G-cells in gastric glands, hepatocytes, endothelial cells, etc.) intracellular localization of a labeling profile (e.g. plasma membrane, cytoplasm, perinuclear space, nuclei, basement membrane, intercalated disks, etc.).
Conclusions are provided regarding the IHC specificity of antibody, and 1 low overview + 1 high magnification publication quality images from the most histologically relevant region.
