Antibodies
| Rabbit polyclonal antibody to VMAT2 | |
|---|---|
Immunohistochemical detection of VMAT2 in neurons in formalin fixed human brain cortex. 10 μm paraffin-embedded tissue sections were incubated with rabbit polyclonal antibody to VMAT2 at 10 μg/mL overnight at 4°C followed by HRP/AEC detection (red) and counterstaining with hematoxylin (blue). |

| Function: This is a cytoplasmic vesicle membrane multi-pass membrane protein which belongs to the vesicular transporter family. The vesicular monoamine transporter 2 is nvolved in the ATP-dependent vesicular transport of biogenic amine neurotransmitters into synaptic vesicles: dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and histamine. Provides vesicular amine storage prior to secretion via exocytosis.. |
